How to transport a 56 inch general electric projector tv

I transport them all the time and the best way to do it is to put something down soft in the bed of a truck then lay it down screen first on its face. If you stand it up in the bed of a truck the wind usually destroys the screen. laying them down face first doesnt harm them as long as you have somehing soft to lay it on so the screen doesnt get scratched.

SELL TV: HOW DO WE MOVE IT

Howdy,
The best way to transport the TV is standing up with the front secured to a 'side' of vechile. If you don't have that choice lay the TV down on it's face. With both make sure you have plenty of moving blankets. The side would be my last resort because of stability. DO NOT LAY ON BACK!!!!

Good Move, big IRISH.

Can lay the rear projection TV on its side when moving?

I would not lay it on it's side unless there is no other option. Then I would be very careful. TVs should be transported right side up.

I have an Hitachi 43FDX15B. The tv worked perfect

sounds like the convergence is out of whack. you will need to call a local repair shop and see if they can realign the color guns inside the unit. this is actually a really common problem with moving a rear projection screen.

Moving TV

no it doesnt hurt them. I transport projection screen Tvs all the time by laying them down flatt all the time. You may have to adjust the convergence a little when youre finished moving it, but it wont hurt it.

I have a 50 inch big screen hdtv and i am moving i want to know can i lay my tv down flat?

Yes you can lay it down flat on its screen just make sure it is padded so the screen doesnt get scratched. I transport projection units this way all the time even DLPs however do not transport LCD or plasma units in this manner as thats not recomended.

Moving of a TV

I would not, because you have fluid on the crt's and it could leak on the boards causing a short. But it's a chance you can take.

Panasonic PT-51G44 51 transporting?

No you should only transport it standing up to ensure the optics do not get messed up. I have seen peeps do this and nothing happens. I have also seen pros do the move on the back or the sides and it tears up the TV set. Good Luck
