I assume this is the very popular 18-inch High Velocity sold at Wal-Mart. If you cannot return it to your local store contact Aloha Housewares at: 1-800-295-4448. Good Luck!

SOURCE: my aloha breeze model 46051 stand fan does not

The motor bearings are dried out which usually damages the shaft side of the bearings. Best to get another fan.

SOURCE: how to dissamble to clean

I just used an air air compressor with a soft rubber tip and went at my two tower fans outside. It took maybe 10 minutes shooting air in from many different points but both fans now work as good as new. If it's been a couple of seasons like mine you'll be amazed at how much blows out.

It isn't worth fixing. I am on my second one which didn't last any longer than the first which was about 3-4 months. These fan motors are junk. First failure was a bearing and when it started failing, it was noisy. Eventually, the fan would not start because the motor didn't have enough torque to overcome the friction in the bad bearing.

The second fan was quiet but has NO starting torque....no unusual for fans generally, but I'll NEVER BUY another ALOHA BREEZE product again.

MY CHILD'S BALLON STRING GOT CAUGHT IN MY ALOHA FAN, I TOOK THE STRING OUT BUT NOW IT WILL NOT COME ON, HELP PLEASE!

it probably slowed or stalled the motor down so far that if its variable speed it burned out the speed control triac in the speed control, you need to access the speed control board and find the problem, otherwise if the motor isn't harmed too bad, direct wire(bypass) speed control and run on high

The fan will not make a breeze at any speed

There is a switch to make it turn the opposite direction. you will need to flip the switch. Otherwise the fan blades are on upside down.
