Question about InFocus LP120 / 1000 Lumens / XGA / DLP Projector Refurbished Multimedia Projector
The strip either appears as a quick pulsating/strobing bar or an incredibly solid/smooth white bar. Both times it is in the same spot (right quadrant, about 70-80% of the way from the left side of the screen...)
I've found that either pressing on the top of the projectors lamp assy, or by placing something between the metal lamp assy, and the plastic projector housing (on the right side of the projector, nearest the lamp assy) can make the line go away, or at least go away for a while. I can't insert anything as a wedge between the lamp and the casing, however, with the case put together.. and a halfway-apart projector is an ugly sight....
What can I inspect to determine the problem?
On the X2, the dmd chip is attached to the main board on the bottom of the machine. you need to take the top case off, as well as the 2 power supply boards. push the dmd chip (behind the lens assembly) back onto the board.
