Most Bose car stereos have an external amplifier. You will need to see if that is the case on your factory setup and remove the amplifier. Then hook the new headunit straight to the speakers.

and yes there is most likely an amp in the system and it is eithor over powered or over heating

there is a problem in the tape drive - possibly a bad belt- thats why the cassette adapter keeps ejecting itself- most add on xm tuners have the ability to broadcast its signal wirelessly-you press the menu button then turn the tuner to select the menu option that you want then press on the tuner control again to choose broadcast (fm signal and which channel you want to broadcast to the factory radio-try www.xmradio.com for more detailed info
