Take out the game cartridge then boot it up, then go to settings and change boot up to manual.

Try changing your display time out to something longer. Select menu-> settings-> display -> screen timeout -> pick something longer.
You can also set your brightness to not automatic. Within the same display menu, select brightness and uncheck the automatic brightness box. See if that works.

Menu icon coming up when turn it on

This is normal if the ds is set to manually start games. You can set the DS to start a game automaticly and never show you the menu.

The language is in chinese

This is how you correct the problem.
1) Make sure there are no games in the DS
2) Turn on DS
3) At the splash screen touch the touch screen to access the main menu
4) At the main menu on the bottom there is an icon that looks like the DS opened. Click on this ICON
5) After Clicking on the icon you will appear at a menu that has four icons at the bottom. Click on the first one on the left. Should look like a wrench
6) Next touch the icon that looks like a globe from there if you can not read the word the top left cornner is the button for english.
7) Touch that button in the upper left cornner and touch the bottom (very bottom that has A or B) click. This should automatically change the words to english. This should fix the problem

Can't get codes

I have just found the solution to the problem (2 minutes later XD)
Quote CodeJunkies' Support site:

Try resetting the Action Replay by following these steps:
  1. Insert the Action Replay into the DS
  2. While the Action Replay software is loading, press and hold all the following buttons: A + B + Start + Select.
  3. Release all of the buttons once the Action Replay is at the main menu.
The first screen should persist for much longer than normal, and when the Action Replay DS main menu loads, your hardware should be reset.

Once the reset has been performed, try connecting the USB cable to your PC, opening up the code manager software and transferring data again.

It won't return all of your games back, but it will allow you to start on a clean slate again. (Using the update feature will bring most, if not all of your games back

Action replay crashed

First, turn on your Action Replay, and after the warning screen for the DS Pops up, hold these four buttons: A+B+SELECT+START, the white screen will stay up longer than normal, but just be patient.

When the menu screen pops up, let go of the buttons

Plug your DS (Action Replay) to your computer and you should be ready to input games and codes again.

DS Keeps telling me to put the system settings

If you go to the Settings option as you obviously have, try to go into the Start-up options and click on the Arrow leading into a box.... this will take you to manual mode or Auto mode. If you chose Auto mode it will just start up the game as you put the card in. If you want to change it... take the game out, start it up and you will have the option of changing it back to manual mode or changing your settings etc. Make sure you hit confirm with all the options you change.

Olympus DS30 voice recorder play speed issue

Hi, the solution to the problem seems to be the following. When u press play, once, you get 1x play. If whilst playing you press play a second time the DS-30 goes into slow play mode, and if you press a second time it goes into fast mode. For those of us who accidentally went into either fast or slow mode, just press the play button again, during playback, until "play" appears on the LCD screen. Apparently it is as simple as that.
