Question about Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W120 Digital Camera
I turn the camra on and the lens are going in, then out, then back in. After this happens about 4 times it says "turn off then turn back on" of already done this but it doesnt help. I also dont know where to bring it to get it fixed? Back to best buy (where i've brough it about two years ago" or a sony store? if so i dont think there is one around here (Pittsfield MA)
Had the same problem and read this solution that said you had to take it to Sony for service. This pissed me off so I commenced to beat the camera against my treadmill. After that it turned right on and problem solved..haha...no bs

Similar to the last post- just give the camera a pretty firm jolt with the lens in the out position. I tried the previous post several times with no luck. At one point with the lens out I dropped the camera at about 4 inches on a cabinet and it started working properly. I have used it for a couple of days and still no issues.

You have to take it to sony service centre and replace the lens array.this problem usually happens if you drop the camera down to the floor.it costs about 60$ for replacing with service charges.

Well mine had the same problem. So I called best buy and they said they would charge me 175.95 to look at it plus the repair charges. While I was on the phone with best buy I looked at my camera and said I'm gonna have to buy a new one. I turned it on and it work...I recommend everyone does this..lol...GOOD LUCK!!!

Wow! The cave man technique works! Slapped it against flat surface of my desk a couple times and camera works again! Wish I knew this before I replaced the first one that I had that did the same exact thing.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
