I was using the abovementioned router and am unable to remove the bit to insert another one ... I found a similar question on your website, but do not see the solution displayed ...
If I remove the router from the table and position it on a workbench so that I am looking downward at the router bit, which direction to I turn the collet nut to loosen it?
I 'believe' that I should be turning the nut in a CLOCKWISE direction to loosen it, but am not sure ... I cannot find my manual ... THANKS for the help !!!

- Thanks ... that was fast !!!
At the risk of sounding like a complete idiot, after I heat it, do I turn it clockwise?
hello there. Buffalonyman is correct that heaat will loosen any nut. However, your first issue is that you are turning the nut tighter, not looser. As you look down upon the bit, the nut loosens counterclockwise. If you are using a tiny wrench, like the one that may have come with your router, you will be much happier with a real open end wrench. If you don't have a set, it is worth the small investment. enjoy. AND go to sears.com and you can download a manual.

My Freud 2000 router has started sparking where the brushes are and slows down. Increase in speed control to max blew a fuse. I have tried changing brushes to no avail. Is the problem the armature/winding? Where can I get a replacement if that is the case? Thanks.
