I got a zen microphoto 8GB from a friend, and it freezes on Creative screen. It also won't be recognized by my computer running XP, or if it does, the computer installs hardware, but when it restarts just starts the process all over again. All I've read seems to indicate I have a bad microdrive. I've looked on ebay and find microdrive/CF cards listed, and wonder if it's the same format. If it is, I don't think I'd have a problem replacing it myself and reloading the firmware, but I don't want to shell out $25 - $40 for the drive if I can't use it. Can you tell me if this is the same format, and how long it typically takes to reload firmware, and also if an 8GB card needs replaced by a new 8GB card? Thanks.
