Question about Sony VAIO PCG-K25 Notebook
Tried to reset hard drive to factory settings, as computer had slowed down a lot...thought this would cleau up any glitches etc. on reboot a file for window is now missing and computer asks for file to be reloded. as there was no soft ware with computer(came with all installed) i need to know how to get "file" and how to "INSTALL"
Firstly try to get to help and Support to do a System Restore to a point earlier than the time you tried to reset the hard drive. If that fails THEN,
Get to a Sony vendor nearest to you and ask them to sell you the systems cds for your laptop. If it is running on Windows XP or whatever, get the operating systems disks and do a system recovery procedure by placing the cds into your computer then follow the instructions on the screen.
I hope to hear from a happy you that your computer is running again. Please try to get Adaware, Malaware and Spyware Software to clean your computer because it might have been highjacked by these parasites

Consider what data you still need from your Acer Aspire One's hard drive. Save the files to an external USB device.
Restart the Acer Aspire One's operating system. Wait for the Acer logo to appear on the LCD screen.
Press the "Alt" and "F10" keys at the same time to bring up the recovery menu. Press "Enter."
Click "Next." Follow the prompts that appear on the screen to restore the operating system back to factory settings.
Connect the external USB device to your Acer Aspire One and transfer the data you saved earlier back to the netbook.
