How do you replace the gas tank on a ryo 8548 gas blower

Why are you trying to remove the fuel tank just for broken fuel line?
These can be normally be replaced while the tank in still mounted using the appropriate tools.

As for removing the tank you probably need to remove that starter assembly or may need to fully disassemble the casing.

Blower part stopped working. What could the problem be?

see the steps and fix it. GOD BLESS YOU
  • 1
Find the cause of the problem. This may be obvious: if the starter cord is broken, then obviously that's your problem. But if you simply have a blower that won't start and nothing apparent to cause the problem, it's time for a bit of investigative work.

  • 2
Examine the starter mechanism. Is the spring in place? Is the rope wound tightly? If anything is coming apart in there, then your starter won't work properly, and you won't be able to start the machine.

  • 3
Check the spark plug. If it is old or appears blackened or corroded, it may be keeping the blower from starting.

  • 4
Check the fuel tank and fuel line. If the cap on the fuel tank is missing, cracked or failing to seal properly, or if you have a leak in the fuel tank, the lack of pressure in the fuel system will cause problems. Check the fuel line as well for any cracks, leaks or stoppage.

Fix the Problem
  • 5
Repair the starter assembly by removing it from the body of the blower. You can take it to a repair shop to have it rebuilt for a small charge (usually less since you've already removed it), or you can repair it yourself by purchasing a new spring and starter rope, installing the spring and rewinding the rope. Then screw the assembly back into place onto the blower.

  • 6
Replace the spark plug by unscrewing the old one, brushing away any debris and screwing in a new spark plug.

  • 7
Replace the tank or line. This is the only way to repair leaks in the tank or line. Be sure you order the correct part (not just any tank will fit any blower) and the right size of fuel line (usually one of the smallest available). If you're not sure, call a repair shop and have the model and serial number of your machine handy. With this information, they can help you find the right parts.

No power to starter

The starter 3 wires. not 1.
ground lost to starter
12v main big wire, dead.
or the key line.
the key line goes to the key. (start)
if A/T if this wire is dead, the PRN trans switch is bad.
if M/T the wire is dead the clutch switch is broken.

I have having problem with my Hysqvaran 125L with the pull cord. When i pulls cord, it not catching the trans and it sound like the spring is not catching?

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly.

It sounds like the starter cup has failed / broken. See this link: (Page 3 item 14.)

However... the pawls on the starter pulley (item 28 above) may have broken.

There is a whole kit for repairing the starter recoil: PN 545180844
That can be found here:

Your need to remove the starter recoil assy and check for damage. It will be obvious. Just remove the mounting screws and lift it off. It is not difficult. Use the first link page 3 to identify the parts you may need once you do the visual inspection with the recoil removed.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,

My honda wont start i replaced the starter on it and i checked all fluids and my main fuze box. Nothing looks burnt or out of place, the small wire that has a rubber boot that connects on to the starter is...

Hi ,
That small wire with the rubber boot that appears broken most likely is the problem.
That wire, is the wire from your ignition switch that activates the starter solenoid which in turn activates the starter.
I know it is tight around there but by peeling the insulation back from the broken little wire, the wire can be spliced back together.
Parts houses have **** crimp connectors to do the job. The repair part is less than 50 cents..

Kick starter failure honda xl 250 kickstarter does not turn the engine around as if something has twisted off inside the engine

You will need to remove the right sidecase cover to get to the starter assembly. Once inside, you should be able to see any broken parts. If no gear, shaft, cam or ratchet problems are present, a circlip could be broken or the springs may be weak and need replacing. Chances are the clutch will need to be removed to make repairs to the starter. Please rate my answer.

1988 harley davidson softail 5 speed will only shift into 1st. 2nd and nutrual and will not go into 3rd,4th and 5th

Happens all the time, you shifter pawl return spring is broken. If you will put the transmission in neutral and lift or push down on the shift lever, you'll notice that the lever doesn't want to return to the "center position" on it's own. This is because the spring that brings the shifter back to the "center position" after a gear shift is broken. It is also not advisable to ride the bike until this is repaired. The broken end of the spring has been known to get caught up in the gears and actually bust the transmission cases in addition to damaging those gears.

This is not a simple repair job in the fact that all the "guts" have to come out of the transmission. The shifter pawl shaft will not come out of the transmission case with the gears on their shafts left inside the case.
