Unplug everything, remove the lid (only two screws) and check if the belt is still there around the middle of the drum. If the belt looks good then the problem is prolly the broken-belt electric switch that has tripped. That's described elsewhere here on Fixya. Did someone put in a mess of soaking wet clothes!?

Sounds like the belt is broken or off of track.

How do you shut off the annoying Bosch Nexxt 500 Dryer wrinkle guard?

Click HERE to get the Users Manual for your machine, from what I can see, it's in the selection option of the machine.
From the manual:
Select the option to be changed with the "Menu" button. Press the button to move to the next option on the display. The active symbol starts flashing.
The current active option setting is displayed on the right. These settings can now be changed with the "Select" button. Press the button to jump to the next possible setting. Pressing the "Menu" button again saves the setting. If you don't press any buttons for 10 seconds the settings are saved automatically.
Hope this answers your question. Please rate and comment. Thank You

I have a Bosch 500 plus model. I was drying a blanket by itself when the dryer just shut off. The blanket was in a ball. I spread it out and turned the dryer back on and it wouldn't start. No error codes...

The motor tripped..The wiring diagram for the dryer is inside the back cover tie-wrapped to the frame as it sounds like the motor has a trip on it:
To reset the switch unplug the dryer, remove the power cable and back cover completely. two screws holding back cover are under the top cover which is held on with two screws at the rear. Remove the screws then pull top cover back and then lift it off. Remove last two screws and take off the full back cover . On the front of the motor you should see two white wires going into the safety switch for the belt breaking. Push the button on the left to reset the switch (you probably will hear a click) Do not push the right button as that is what got tripped originally . Good Luck Tim
