Question about Garmin Nuvi 660 GPS Receiver

1 Answer

Clicking on and off

When it is plugged in or when it was charged it will go off and on constantly.  I don't think that it even charges now. Pressing the reset button doesn't help.

"charge system" appears on my digital dash when car is running. HELP!

Don't panic auto repair isn't as mystifying as you think it is. approach this calmly and logically, and problems can be worked out.
It sounds as if your alternator may not be charging the battery or the battery may be getting old.
Batteries tend to last 4 to 5 years, longer if well taken care of( post cleanings and good discharge/charge cycles. have the battery load tested. That will tell you when to replace or look at other issues.
Alternators can blow a winding and still maintain battery charge, but will not recharge. Alternator test to determine problem( Voltage, voltage regulator, amperage output, and even discharge). Amperage rating differs with each vehicle and specific demands(big stereos, off road equipment, etc). Most alternators should produce more than battery voltage(12.6v), and should be between 13.8 and 15 volts.
Some auto parts stores will test these for nothing.

These are just some suggestions. If there is anything else please ask we are all friends here and are willing to help. Brad

Razor ground force battery says its fully charged but gokart wont turn on

Here is the owners manual for the future (in case you don't have one.)

http://www.meijer.com/assets/product_files/pdf/1000422_groundforce_manual.pdf

It sounds like the push button fuse next to your charging plug. Push that in and try again. Otherwise it could be a wiring defect.

Why my r430 not charging up to 100 percent? only up to 80 percent then stop

Its a feature of the laptop, you use it plugged in more than battery power right? If you go toStart Menu/Programs/Samsung there should be a program called "BatteryLife Extender". Click on it and you can choose to either let it charge to 80 percent or all the way to 100. However, if you use it plugged in mainly then I would recommend leaving it only to 80 percent to avoid possible discharging of the battery from constantly charging. Hope this helps.

My notebook is not turning on,how do i know if its the battery

When you plug in the power cord is there anylights whatsoever on the laptop, where the plug goes in or on the AC Adapter ofthe power cord?

When you press the power button do you hear fans running, hard drive spinning, lights on the computer, hear any beeps or lights constantly blinking, hear theDvD/CD drive click and the light on the drawer of the DvD/CD turn on for asecond or two? If so the laptop is trying to boot or may have booted, butthe screen is not showing for some reason.

Beep tones and blinking lights tells the technicians what is going on with thelaptop and why it is not booting. Most times it's a motherboard issuewhen you hear beeps or blinking lights continuous.

Maybe your power cord is bad if you don't get anything to happen whatsoeverwhen you press the power button. And if that's true maybe you wasoperating off the battery the last time you had it on and since the power cordis bad, it was not charging the battery so the battery is drained and the powercord is bad.

Maybe you have a Static Charge Buildup. Remove the Power Cord, Remove theBattery, then Press and Hold the power button for 30seconds. After 30 seconds plug the power cord back in (leave the batteryout) and hit the power button to see if it boots. If it does, you can putthe battery back in and let it charge.

My Asus Eee PC 1001PXD battery won't charge. The charges light is on but nothing happens and now the battery is completely dead and I cannot get my notebook on

Your problem is far more than the battery. Your problem is the power cord. Laptops for the most part will work off the power cord even if the battery is dead or even if the battery is not in the laptop. Your power cord charges your battery and if it is bad it will not charge it. You've been working off your battery even though you might have had the power cord plugged in, but if it's bad and not charging the battery, the battery drains and then you can't get the laptop to power on at all. Go purchase a ac adapter and power cord that is designed for your system. Don't buy one that some of the big box stores sell that has a an interchangeable plug at the end designed to fit just about any laptop. Those will eventually burn *********** board out.

Given a hand me down Dexton Lil Driver Battery Golf Cart. Is there an online manual to find out what the charging cord looks like & where to plug it into the cart.

To charge... you need to remove the seat. Only 2 screws holding it in place. Underneath you will see the battery...you will notice wires from the battery connect to wires from the motor on the wheels...pull apart those 2 connectors and attach the charger...then plug it in to a wall socket and leave connected for a long period of time. I don't remember how long it takes for a full charge...but I'm thinking at least 12 hours. If the battery doesn't hold a charge you can typically get it at walmart or online. Best of luck.
