Question about GPS
GPS softwares have been changed lately and many of them need upgrades.
You need to upgrade your GPS software.
Go to the GPS company's website and look for the software. This should fix your issue.
Regarding brightness of your screen, it could have been told if you had mentioned your GPS company. But upgrading the software would set the default settings to your GPS in which case the brightness would be normal.
