Question about 3Com 8054 / USR5410 Router (8054/usr5410 bun)
I had the same problem. the only way the computer recognizes the 760 is from a fresh re-boot. a few tricks from tech support.
when shutting down, first disconnect, then power off modem from the VZW software. the next time you plug it in the computer then recognize the modum.
a different problem is the signal strength. my old 720 had a much stronger signal in the same location and a faster connect speed. any ideas?

Make sure to plug the USB adapter at the back of the of your computer. Try to use different USB port. Also try to plug the adapter to a different computer to check if the adapter is defective or not. Because it could only be your USB port
