I have had exactly the same problem. Moved into a new house and turned electricity off. When I turned it back on 'stop' was displayed on the LCD screen and I could not longer use the oven. However after messing around with dials etc for a few minutes I managed to get the oven working again. This time however, I experienced a powercut and 'stop' was displayed once again. This time after many many many attempts, the oven will not work.

I have somewhat a similar problem. A power outage caused the LCD display to stop working. There is no display at all now. Everything else works on the oven, except the clock and the timer.
I think the serial number for my whirlpool oven is 0485682.

My whirlpool oven is 17 years old but still good. We recently had a power cut and now the display shows 'stop' and I can't get it to go. It has two large knobs either side of a small button.

Hello Pam,
We are sorry for the frustrations you are experiencing. We recommend turning the circuit breaker off for at least a minute to reset the Oven. If that does not work please email us at Whirlpool_Reviews@Whirlpool.com with your name, phone number, street address, zip code, model & serial number, date of purchase on the appliance and a brief description of the problem you are experiencing. Thank you.

Code E0 and F2 with a little lock displayed on touch board of Whirlpool Gas Range. burners work but unable to operate the oven

You will need to press the cancel/stop button, this will clear the display and you will be allow to use the oven. If this does not work yoy will have to unplug the stove for five minutes and then plug back up and this should clear the display and allow the oven to work.

My whirpool oven display reads stop, how do i turn it off?

Hi
This "STOP" message appears when either the cooker has been switched off at the mains or there has been a power cut. What you have to do is a s follows:

1. The knob on the left should be turned anti-clockwise ONE click only.
2. Press the button between the two knobs (under the display) ONCE only. You will now have got rid of the word "STOP" and it will be replaced by _ _ . _ _ symbols.
3. Press the same button twice more or until "12.00" is shown. This is the 24hr clock and can the be adjusted up or down by turning the right hand knob clockwise or anti-clockwise. Its always recomended that you set the clock before useing the oven although you dont have to.
4. Now you can operate the oven as normal.....Good luck with that!
Regards Ian W.

Re: my whirlpool digital oven

The red key sign is a lock against children. To cancel it you have to hold the two buttons at the same time for 5 seconds (you activate it the same way).

The STOP sign appears after the cooker switches of after a power cut. You just have to press the left button, and, using the right knob, set the time.

Whirlpool Double oven - control panel stopped working

Atlanta...sounds like you may have a power supply problem or the panel is bad. Cut the power, open the unit up and see if there is a fuse in there or a reset. No good? Then replace the circuit board. They just, well, die sometime. Happened to my microwave. Some units may be available remanufactured. Look around on the web.
