Question about Car Audio & Video
Do you have multiple frequency choices on the FM transmitter. It's possible something is interfering on or near the frequency it's using by default - try switching to another frequency.

I bet you were so disappointed.
All the region hack sites don't even list this DVD player so I don't think there's going to be a quick fix to put you to region 4.
There might be some clues in the service manual, these are usually £20 or so with no guarantee of success.
An Alpine service center could possibly help.
I'm surprised the seller didn't mention the region and as such the player isn't fit for purpose, can't you send it back?
If you give up, you could always recode your DVD's to region free on your computer so you can play them in your car.

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
