The left click button on my Logitech M555b mouse stopped working earlier today for no apparent reason. It has no physical damage, such as dents, scrapes, or water damage. The mouse is only about 2 months...

I have found that the best way to adjust your mouse settings is to create a control panel in your bottom toolbar scroll to the bottom of your screen right click you will see an array of options select the toolbar option then select desktop

then you will see the desktop in the bottom toolbar select the 2 >>arrow heads then all control panel items then select mouse this is in WINDOWS 7

then click on the >> all control panel items scroll to mouse in the buttons tab you will see the defaults left button right button and middle wheel click you might have to set the left click button again

in XP you will have to select the new toolbar option once you have that a browse option select my computer then control panel then a control panel option will be in the bottom toolbar

.

Or disconnect the mouse from your computer restart.
If still does not work you need a new mouse.

hope this helps

Mouse keeps stopping, batts changed, wireless keyboard ok, mouse starts and stops for no apparent reason. Brand new kit.

generally this will be caused from lack of signal, or dirt in the mouses "eye" , try moving the wireless reciever alittle closer to where the mouse is being used.
also, try blowing in the "eye" of the mouse really hard.

To conserve your batteries, most of these mouse types have a "sleep mode". If it has, you need to press the scroll wheel or a side button to wake it up after being idle for a short time. Make sure your bluetooth receiver is not obscured by anything and perhaps re-pair it again to realign the frequency.

M00117-MB right click button doesn't work

My problem is with the left click. I buy there mouses because they're cheap, but I suspect foulplay: Planned obsolescence! They always start to break down after a while for apparently no reason and then you're off looking for a new mouse, but then again I could wrong, maybe they're just generally not built to last or for heavy usage.

Next time I'm doing my homework on which companies make quality mouses so I won't have to keep replacing them - I suggest the OP and others who have problems with Sakar do the same.

Network connection

It probably stops working due to the heat. The solder connection to the motherboard may not be up to par. To get round it I would purchase a PCI network card and use that instead. If the mouse bothers you, you can always unplug it, but it is something that you dont need to worry about.

Mouse wheel stoped scrolliing

I'm assuming the mouse tracking and buttons do work. If you have gone to the extreme of reinstalling the OS as well as the mouse drivers I would next suggest you try connecting the mouse to a new PC. If the problem follows you to the new PC you mouse is damaged and there is literally not much the user can do except: -make sure the bottom of the mouse is clean -Try a different mouse surface; some surfaces don?t react well optically. Try calling Logitech, you may still be in warranty and who knows you may get a nice tech who will work with you to replace it. Never hurts to try.

is there a touch pad 'switch' off function with this particular model? Some Acer machines have an F number plus another key to de-activate/reactivate touch pad. Check your Manual
