Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3

1 Answer

The phone has its own mind!!!

The keypad and the buttons at the top even keep pushing random buttons, it has gotten to the point that i can push anything else due to the keypad being in use. I have tried opening the back and blowing etc, but it still has the same problem, the button it seems to push the most is keypad number 7 (pqrs-inclueded). If you are unsure of the problem, basically if i don't touch my mobile at all and it is open (razor V3) the phone acts as though it has been pushed and it is usually keypad 7.
Please help

Buttons are being pushed on their own

With the phone ON, remove the battery. Wait at least 25 seconds (Use a watch) and put battery back in place. Then power up the phone.

Keyboard, #2, appears to stick.

The button seems to get stuck easyly, you have to take the keypad apart and see whats wrong with the button.

You will have to clean the button if something has gotten inside which makes it stick.

Phone is Randomly Calling People!!!

I had a similar problem where not only was it dialing the contact list randomly but also just entering keystrokes on its own (like it was possessed). Turns out there was a short in the top part of the phone (i.e. LCD screen part) due to water damage. The only thing the tech and I could come up with is that I used my phone when outside/jogging/exercising and sweat could have gotten in there. I had not spilled any liquid or drinks on the phone or dropped it in the washer....
