First installation:
Tru-hull on the mounting location behind the battery plate. Due to a erratic cut from the mechanic (he cutted the fairy block the wrong way and he had to cut it anothe time) the transducer came out of the hull too less (maybe 2 inch). This caused no readings over 6 knots due to turbulence from the strake beneath .
Second installation:
Due to unknown reasons i lost the pizo underway in full working season so i had to find a quick solution.
I made a L-shaped mounting plate from inox and bolt it to the stern between my 2 motors in the center of the keel.
Only the fairy block with the transducer in it is 1 inch below the bottom of the keel.
This installation works great and reads up to 130 feet @ 25 knots, faster there are to much disturbs on the screen.

The first installation tru-hull on the mentioned location should work, but you have to take care that the fairy block
is cutted minimal the right inclination and the right way (larger side to bow). So it came off the turbulences from the strake and it should work fine.
If you have 2 outboards, the mounting between the motors works very well and you don't have to drill a large hole to the hull for the tru-hull installation.

Hi there,

You may choose any two frequencies between 28 and 200 kHz to fit your fishing operation. Output power is selectable from 1, 2 or 3 kW.

Hope this initial info helps.

If you reset it and while in the Initial Settings" Menu, you press menu, it should take you to the transducer setup screen. These menus allow for "Transducer Type" to be changed to your exact transducer. See the "Installation Manual", which is different than the "Operators Manual". Section 3 page 9 and 10. You may have to enter your units of measure (Knots vs MPH, etc), and then it will allow you to choose the transducer type. Hope this helps. John Barry, 847-746-0100, technicalmarine.com.
