Question about Dell Latitude D600 Notebook
Piece of cake here for Dell D600:
1.First you need to know what memory to get in the first place. Download CPu-Z from download.com:
Install CPU-Z.. go under SPD tab.. That tells you what type of memory and what size is in Slot#1 and slot#2. It will say DDR1 PC2700 depending upon how much you have initially(256MB or 512MB or 1GB).
According to crucial website.. Dell D600 support 1GB per slot (1GB * 2 slots) = 2GB max.
Get Kingston or Crucial or PNY or Corsair 1GB PC2700 DDR1 SODIMM memory
2. Flip the laptop according to the pic. Unscrew the memory door where it says "M" or "Memory" underneath yr laptop.
Two silver clips hold each memory module, gently move clips in outward direction.. memory should pop out by itself. Seat the 1GB memory PC2700 SODIMM and you should be good !

I dont know this particular model, but usually it's underneath the computer, there is one screw to remove and you can take out a door which gives you acess to the memory slots. If it's not there, you will need to remove the top cover to get there. But it's most likely a small door underneath the laptop.
