Poor after sale service

Thje firdge was bought in Oct. 2006, its handle came off last month. Registered a complaint with LG Service ( complaint no. A 1202577 ) on 12-10-2007, reminded several times. No action for first 13 days, today a mechanic came and looked at the problem . He said since the handle screw is broken from inside, apart from the handle, the door itself needed to be replaced- The ball is back in my court and I have been asked to take up the complaint with LG service again, which I did. I am highly disillusioned by the quality of service and I regret having gone in for this product when so many other options were available.
Is there something possible to be done quickly since it is painful to keep dialling various numbers( mostly engaged ! ) provided by LG service without any one caring to solve the issue.

I was also interested in LG products AC's and related products, I can list others and make all their related names a black listed production rip off, lacking service, quality or consumer respect. But I need to work with helping customers and not get in the middle.
 You helped me today and I think you know what to do as far as letting them know that what they are doing will come back to bite them in the end.
I know I haven't helped you, as I do not represent them or plan to do so in the future. Your complaint has been heard and you do have a voice. I agree with you about your complaints so please understand that I'm on your side with this issue, Thanks, Sea Breeze

Can't figure out how to remove the handles from my GE

Know its a year later, but I have the manual, and will look through it if still interested. Just wondering why you would be replacing the handles? I have this refrgerator and it has held up well and really have no problems or complaints,...except for those darn handles! They work perfectly, but the white began to slowly wear off soon after I bought it,...revealing an unsightly beige rubber color. I've even resorted to spray painting the handles,...a very time consuming process, just taping all around them. It would last and look good for a few months,...but then it was back to that beige, rubbery worn off look again. Would love to swap out the handles for some new ones,...just wondering if you are or were having the same complaint with this model's handles

My LG refrigeretor is not functioning since last 2 days. Where can I lodge complaint in ahmedabad

You should check if you've warranty or not. If it's within warranty period then call the shops from where you bought the refrigerator. They'll fix it without any charges.

If you don't have any warranty or documents to call, then it will be better to check with some A/C and Refrigerator mechanic at the area you lives.They'll come to your house,check properly and quote a service charge with any parts or gas if needed. If you agree with them they will fix your refrigerator definitely.

My freezer door broken & sale & service center did not help me to arrange the same

Please contact your authourised service / sales office closest to you for registering the complaint. Since the door is broken it can be sourced only from the LG dealer and so there can be nothing we can do about unless the fridge is very old and you can mend it otherwise for the time being without spending a large sum. So confirmt he ccost of a new doodr to the cost of exchanging your fridge and work out. Hope you try this out. Good day

Sorry , You have posted your complaint to the wrong site. This is a forum for solutions tips online for customers who can do it yourself. I am sorrry you have had a bad deal but Your product had warranty for 5 years. Hence if you are unhappy with the service, the poor after sales service , please lodge a complaint to the nearest consumer protection complaint with all the details , specially yourr trauma and poor service , and I am sure your dealer/ company will come and sort out the issue immediately.All power products must have build in safety and no company can insist that a stabiliser is required. This is not a Samsung customer service site. It's a site where you ask questions and get help fixing things. By the way your description of the problem sounds like the fan behind the fridge near the compressor motor is not running. It should run when the compressor runs.

I returned our unit to Home Depot with relative ease... I think they were all aware there is a problem with these units.

They refunded the full purchase price (even though I was well past the 12-month warranty period). I put the money toward a GE Profile unit that's a little bigger - more expensive, yes; but it works, priceless!

Brand new refrigerator not cooling

ok what he was trying to say is that the freezer does all the cooling for both sides as nothing in the fride side cools and in order for the fridge to reach its proper temp the freezer should run any where between -0 to-10 then the fan in the freezer draw-es air from the fridge and cools it and circulates to the fridge now i need to know a few things is the compressor running is the freezer fan running do you see any frost on the back wall of the freezer section is the fan running in the back that's near the compressor to cool the condenser coils then i can better advise pleas hold my rating till we are done where did you purchase the unit

I see this problem daily in the UK, turn off, defrost overnight,replace defrost sensor in freezer, all will work ok within 24hrs. Regards Advisor
