If your TV has a scart connector then your local hardware or electronics dealer should have a scart to a/v connector for a few pounds/dollars. This is a scart plug with the 3 correctly coloured plugs on the top.

SOURCE: LG 42'' TV has no sound but great picture. How do I get the sound?

You shouldn't need anything plugged into the accessory jacks to get local sound from your set. Go through the main setup menu and check audio settings; they may be set to turn off the internal speakers to send the sound to a home theatre that you apparently don't have. Most sets have that as a selection and supply L-R audio for an external system and mute the internal speakers.
FYI: The three connectors you mention are coded as follows:
Red - right channel audio White - left channel audio Yellow - composite video (contains synchronization signals and video)
These may be input connectors (for external VCR/DVD decks) so check your owner's guide to verify.

SOURCE: 50" Vizio Plasma reads "No Signal" on all inputs?

Well, your TV is still under warranty. That's the good part.
The only thing I can recommend without voiding the warranty is leaving the TV unplugged for 30min. That way, the TV can reset itself and hopefully correct the problem.

If that doesn't solve the problem, it's time to use the VIZIO warranty.
Here's contact info if you need it.

SOURCE: My wii connection is black and white

You are connecting it into the wrong input. The Wii comes with a RCA cables that should go into the Video (composite) input that has yellow, red, and white. The component input will not work with the RCA cable input. Plug your Wii into Video1 and you should get the right colors. There should be another HDMI on the side of your TV, there are inputs located both on the back and side of the TV for your convience.

Ps3 plays in black and white with av composite cable

Some newer TVs do not have the traditional "yellow" video input, known as an "AV" connection. Even without that input, you should be able to use the standard three-color Wii AV Cable that came with the system.

What to Do:

  1. Look for "component" inputs on your TV. These connections have a row of five differently-colored inputs (green, blue, and red for video, white and red for audio). If you have more than one set of component inputs, it's the first set that generally works with standard AV cables. Look for a set that has a green input with yellow around it, or the word "video" just above or below it.
  2. Plug the yellow end of the Wii A/V cable into this green "Y" input. Plug the white end into the audio "L" and the red into the audio "R." Leave the blue and second red holes open.
  3. composite_inputs_window.png
  4. Turn on your Wii console and set your television to the input select being used.
  5. If you are seeing the image from the Wii in black and white, try the following to get the image in color:
    • Cycle through your television's input channels (usually with the "Input Select" or "Source" button on your TV's remote control) to find the input select that has the image in color.
    • If you're only finding the image in black and white, you may need to switch the setting of the input select from a component signal to a standard AV signal. This can be done by:
      • An on screen menu option. This is often accessed by using the "Menu" button on the remote.
      • A button on the remote that switches between the standard and component signals. These can be labeled such things as "AV" or "Video."

your vcr has the yellow, white, and red (RCA) ports but your playstation will not. you have to buy an addapter cable to go from playstation to vcr. http://www.gocybershop.ca/customer/product.php?productid=133&cat=163
btw on your vcr the RCA inputs are not colored (if you have the one in the picture. but just as a guide, yellow=video, red=right(R), white=left(L).

You don't say what TV you have so it's impossible for me to guess what the connection it is that you are using. You will not see a signal on any of the channels you will need to select AV or Mode or Input or something similar on the TV

How to hook up video game to my lcd samsung 1080p

on the ps1, connect the cable that has the Red, White, and Yellow connections on one end to the black connection that looks flat (or both ends if you have the model with the Red, White, and Yellow connections on the back of the PS1).
connect the other end (red, white, yellow) to the TV with the same colors, on the same row. Note the input name (video 1,2... or aux 1,2...).

turn on the PS1. On the TV, change to the input name that you just connected the ps1 to.
you should see the ps1 menu.

Hd tv to vcr

What model and manufacturer DVD/VCR combo are you using. if it has a HDMI port, you should buy a HDMI cable to your combo player than to your HDTV (most don't have this High Definition port.) 6f3606c.jpg
otherwise, it probably contains a composite port, connect the red to the red (Left) white to white (mono) and yellow to yellow (Video) than connect the wires to the matching port on your HDTV) then switch the input to AV or Composite. 9701d83.jpgb5e3eb0.jpg

If this fails, you need a coaxial cable.85dec5e.jpgconnect a coaxial cable to your player then to the coaxial port on your tv. change the input to "either Coaxial, Cable 3 or any input that sets it to coaxial input.
