Question about LG L1932TQ LCD Monitor
I have an LG Flatron monitor - Product Code L1932TQ-BFQ AUSXOP.I had turned my PC off 2 nights ago. When I turned it back on the next day the monitor would not show anything on the screen. It doesn't even turn on. I have checked the plug-in on both ends and it is securly plugged in. I checked to make sure the power strip it's plugged into is turned on. I have placed the electrical cord in a different slot on the power strip because I know those can go bad sometimes. I've also used a different electrical cord to plug the monitor in, making sure it's not the electrical cord - plus I used the old electrical cord to plug a different devise in and it worked fine. What else can I check? I don't like leaving my computer on 24/7, but I know it's not good for the computer to just turn it off without shutting it down properly...but if I can't see what I'm doing on the monitor, I can't shut it down properly.Any suggestions?Sue
Try a cold reset for the computer by unpluging the power cord from the computer it's self then plug it back in if that doesn't work your monitor may have died

I'm affraid you did about everything you can to find the issue. Trying to isolate the problem is the best way to come close to a solution eventually. But after all the tests you did, it seems that the monitor itself got a problem. I dont suggest you to try to fix it yourself, some electrical parts may need to be electrically discharged before being removed from the monitor. If your monitor is still in waranty, contact LG for support. Otherwise, you could bring it to a local tv/monitor store to see if they can repair it. LG support rep could also give you some advice, maybe they got a certified partner in your area that could take a look at it. P.S. If your computer is on windows XP it should shut down the usual way just by pressing the power button once. The shutdown will be the same as if you go Start->Shutdown->Shutdown the computer.
