1, You should always secure your Wireless. 2, try different channels, setup the dual-bands as 2 SSID, 1-2.4 and the other as 5.0 with diferent channels. I would suspect it's the laptop, Disable the UAC and the Anti Virus. Is the wireless adapter, on the laptop turned on? Do you see the Wireless listed in Available Wireless Networks? For dual-band setup :

You may have people close to you with wireless using the same channels and interfering with your router. Try changing channels in the router settings or move the router to a different location.

I can't get this website to work. It's supposed to be the website to configure my BL-131 Network Camera. I got the camera a couple of years ago and just now replaced my router. ...

Replacing the router will not have changed any settings in the camera. The IP address is the factory default for the camera, unless you assigned a new one when you set the camera up.

This is a wired/wireless camera, and if you're trying to connect wirelessly you probably have a router setup issue. Like any wireless device, the camera needs to provide the right key to connect. If you haven't set up your new router's wireless security yet, or set it up with a different key than the old one, the camera won't be able to connect. If the camera's not on your network, you won't reach it and you'll have the problem you described.

The simplest thing to do is to start fresh. Reset the camera to factory defaults with its rear-panel reset button. The button is recessed and you'll need a pen or other object to press it for a couple of seconds. Connect the camera to the router using a cable, and you'll be able to reach it again on Set up the wireless network in your router (assign network name, security key, etc.). Then go through the camera wireless setup steps so it can connect to your network and you'll be back in business.

If you need a copy, you can download the manual and find other information here from Panasonic.

Dual band setup/wep

you have dual band router.
It must be working on the 5 GHZ and 2.4 GHZ .
if you access the router set up interface , you will find the wireless settings of the router.
For 5 GHZ , you can set up different SSID than the SSID of 2.4 GHZ.
Make sure that both the wireless network names will be different.
You use the same security settings for both the bands.
For this you will need to access the router set up interface.

I brought a set of security cameras that work on 2.4Ghz and this router F5D8236-4v1‏ is interfering with it. Is there a channel that does not operate on this frequency that I can change it to. Also,...

you can go into the routers settings and for wireless change the channel 6 is default and i believe that is 2.4 GHZ the smaller the number the less freq. the bigger the number the higher the freq. if you go higher. It is possible it may interfear with a cordless phone when you make the change so you may need to play with the setting

Wireless installation for DCS-5220

Plug in the network cable first and make sure the following settings are correct:

1. SSID is the same and set to broadcast
2. You are using the same WPA AES password as the router (or WEP password if you are using WEP)
3. The wireless antennae is connected
4. The camera is located not to far from the router

After that, remove the network cable and restart your camera.
