First time users get confused with this step. You should now connect your monitor to the graphics card, but not to the VGA that comes with your motherboard. After you insert the graphics card in the motherboard, use the screw to fasten it. Now in the graphics card, you'll have VGA, HDMI and another slot. So just connect one of them to your monitor.

Little black spots all over monitor that move and blink in and out

I have seen this problem before, ensure that your graphics card in being used completely. It is a sign that the setting for allocation of video memory is set a little low. Enter the BIOS by hitting the del key during POST the you would navigate to the option that shows your video memory. Either 64mb, 128mb, 256mb, 512mb, 1024mb this depends on the memory of your graphics card. Set it to the memory of your graphics card or try setting it one place higher than present, remember that if it doesn't work then set it back down again.
Also ensure to install the latest Nvidia drivers for your graphics card.
Please let me know if this solves your problem.
Thanks

There are several things that can cause this. It can be either your monitor, your cable from PC to monitor, or your graphics card.
Try another cable, then another monitor, and if it still doesn't work, try another graphics card.
If any of them fixes the problem, you know what's broken, and you know what you've got to replace.
If even another grapics card doesn't work, but I presume that is the problem, your motherboard is broken.

I hope this helps,
Yannick.

My 1gb ram didn't make any change in my pc!

Whilst increasing the amount of RAM will help a little with certain applications it will NOT improve the performance of your PC by any noticeable amount.

Suggest full defrag and registry clean up which may help a little.

JKDefrag and CCleaner are excellent freeware programs available for download from the web.

Hope this helps and please rate this reply,
Thank you.

New monitor but unable to use its maximum resolution settings

no, there's nothing wrong with either your graphics card & monitor.. it just that your graphics card does not support a 1680x1050 resolution. if you want to fully enjoy the resolution of your monitor, you should upgrade your graphics card. purchase at least 256mb graphics card and you will see the difference..
