Question about Dell Latitude C610 Notebook
Wether with or without battery. I press the power button and only the green power light on the right side comes on for about 3 seconds, then back out. No hard drive spinning or fan running. I tried resetting the ram, no worky. Was advised to remove cmos battery and retry. Any ideas? Where is the cmos battery located?
Forgeet the CMOS battery, worthless exercise. Most likely from what you describe it is a bad motherboard, and on a system that old I'd say replace not repair. If you want to fix it, mothebroards are $50 to 100 for that model on EBay
