Zen Vision I bought a Zen Vision last week. All the software seemed to install fine but my PC doesn't recognise the Zen Vision when it's hooked up to the USB port. Does anyone have any advice?

It could be anything. Check the firmware on the device? Is it a 1.xx.xx or a 2.xx.xx? What version of Windows do you use? Do you have Windows Service Pack 2? Etc? It really could be anything.

I HAVE A PHILIPS MP3 PLAYER, WHEN I CONNECT IT TO MY PC,VIA USB PORT, THE PC DOES NOT RECOGNISE IT. I ALSO HAVE A SONY MP3, WHICH MY PC RECOGNISES IT, NO PROBLEM

ur philips mp3 player memory is infected by virus thats why it cant be detected by ur pc same prblm happens with pen drives as well.

Follow These steps connect mp3 player and restart ur pc this will help in detection.
if this doesnt work then use usb virus scan utility

My PC can't seem to recognise my Creative Zen Vision M 30gb anymore. It has been working fine but today nothing doing. The display on the device says it is docking when I plug into PC but PC says it is not...

What you have to reset is the PC, not the Zen.

Try unplugging the PC AC cord for ten-fifteen minutes. This will drain power and get rid of electrostatic charges accumulating on USB connector contacts.

If that does not work, check USB status in device manager, and test the Zen with a different cable. Also test the unit on a different computer.

Really i don't know what the problem is. the creative doesn't charge and when it charges don't do anything

the player seems to need longer charging:
1. while player switched OFF: let it load on ac-adapter or USB-connection**** for about 1 hour, until the screen lights up.
2. still while player switched OFF: let it load another 2 to 3 hours
to get it fully charged.

**** notice: when using USB for charging:
1. Install the application software (from CD or Creative-download)
2. Preferred is a USB-connection at the backside of the computer
3. When more USB-connections are used, have the others disconnected: trying not to overload the USB-port power-consumption.

If your Zen V is dead, wont respond to anything, try this, plug it in to the computer, hold the power switch in the on position, THEN trigger the reset button, worked like a charm for mine, I had thought it a lost cause."

Creative Zen Vision M - unable to connect to ANY PC or Xbox

How to make Creative vision m, find the computer.

Connect your creative with U. S. B. cable.
Go to my computer, click on right button on mouse go to properties, click on hardware tab, click on device manager button , scrawled to creative logo press on right button on mouse and press on update drives. This worked for me on both of my computers now I can charge my creative and transfer of the files to it with no problems.

Good luck.
