Question about Toshiba Satellite A45-S150 Notebook

It refuses to work with AC power & also the fan does not work.

It refuses to work with power current & also the light indicators are not stable when working with an AC power. the fan also does not work.

These units now tend to over heat. Try to get yourself a dock or cooling dock for the laptop. As for the AC power try another AC plug but reminder the same voltage. You can try to open up the notebook to see if there is anything loose and replace the fan.

The SCR lower board is designed with diagnostic LED lights. The LED's are color coded according to
their specific function. Green indicates a properly operating treadmill; the green lights should always
be ON when power is supplied to the treadmill. Yellow indicates a treadmill function. Red indicates a
treadmill malfunction. Here is a list of each LED and what it signifies:
MOTOR (yellow) - The MOTOR LED illuminates when dc (direct current) voltage is sent to the drive
motor. The LED gets brighter when the dc output is increased.
RLC (yellow) - The RLC (R = Reactance / L = Inductance / C = Capacitance) LED illuminates when
the filtering system is properly working. The filtering system includes the capacitor and filter choke. If
there is a short in either component then the RLC light will not come on.
DN & UP (yellow) - The DN and UP LED lights tell us if the elevation DN and UP relays are

BELTSW (green) - This LED will illuminate when the low voltage dc is delivered from the upper
display board to the belt (motor start) relay. This low voltage dc is what energizes the coil of the relay.
SPD (yellow) - The SPD LED flashes on and off (relative to speed) when the speed sensor is
operating properly.
PWM (yellow) - This LED will light when the upper board is sending a speed signal to the PWM.
Both the PWM LED and BELTSW LED must be lit for belt movement.
Finally this this Relay Board, the Each Led will be Lit, for any Relai control for DN down, or UP elevation motor. Use the contact cleaner, you can find it in R .Shack.

I replaced the lamp on my sharp dt100 projector and now it will not turn on


Have reset the lamp hours after installing the new lamp? If, not the projector has treated the new lamp as old lamp & refusing to light further. So, reset the lamp hours to zero. To reset the lamp timer do as follows. Plug the power cord into the AC socket of the projector. Switch ON the power of the socket. (not projector) While pressing simultaneously MENU/HELP, ENTER & DOWN (button near MENU/HELP) on the projector, press STANDBY/ON on the projector. "LAMP 000H" is displayed, indicating that the lamp timer is reset. If this does not correct your problem then the problem lies in other area. Let me know so that further I can provide you solution. Above things are preliminary.

When I turn on my laptop the on button lights up and the fan starts but absolutely nothing happens. The screen still appears off. The laptop has been working perfectly so not sure what might be wrong.


1. Check your power cord & adapter.
2. If its working then check the battery, reseat the battery & check.
3. If available then check with another battery
4. If no, then remove the battery & switch on the PC in AC mode.
5. Check if battery charging indication or AC power on indication is glowing. if not then need to change ur motherboard.
6. If indication is OK, but could not power ON then check ur RAM for any loose connection or dust. clean & reinstall.
7. If still no display, connect an external monitor, check if display is comming.
8. If Display is coming then your LCD need to replace.

Unit won't turn on


WHEN A COMPRESSOR FIRST STARTS TO RUN THERE IS AN INITIAL HIGH STARTING CURRENT(30 AMPS PLUS),BUT THIS SHOULD DROP BACK DOWN TO RUNNING CURRENT PRETTY QUICKLY.IF IT MAINTAINS THIS HIGH STARTING CURRENT FOR A WHILE THEN THIS GENERALLY INDICATES THE COMPRESSOR AT FAULT,BUT!!!!! ALSO CHECK TO SEE IF THE FAN IS NOT SEIZED. DISCONNECT THE FAN ELECTRICALLY THEN RUN THE UNIT. IF THE STARTING CURRENT MAINTAINS APPROX 6 AMPS THEN THE FAN IS AT FAULT!........HOPE THIS HELPS!!

ac, aka, alternating current, is the type found in your house. dc, aka, direct current, is the type found found in your car...or any other type of battery. If you have a total of three wires, one green, (ground) and the other two are black, then the two black wires are your alternating current wires. If this is the case, hook up your black wire from the fan and light to one of the black wires, and the whites, or commons, to the other black wire. In alternating current it does not matter which wire goes to where.
If there are 3 black wires, and a ground wire, then you will have to use your volt meter, and check the voltage from the wires, you should take three readings (wire a-b, wire b-c, and wire a-c) two readings will give you 120 volts and the third will give you 240 volts (approx) The two wires that give you 240 are your hot leads, and are probably controlled seperatly by wall switches. Hope this helps.
