Here is the video link that explains how to insert a SIM card into a Nokia 5310 ,,,,
Before you are replacing a SIM card into a Nokia 5310, make sure that the device is free from network restriction or locked to the same network of your SIM card. If not, you have to unlock it in prior. You can unlock a Nokia 5310 safer and easier using unlock code. You can get the unlock code for a Nokia 5310 from TheUnlockSpot.Com at affordable cost with easy unlocking guide. Good luck.
Hi, you can get the restriction code for a Nokia 5310 XpressMusic from www.unlocking4u.com/nokia-5310-xpressmusic/rs6wp9/ at affordable cost. Here are the steps for unlocking a Nokia 5310 Xpress Music, 1 - Switch on your Nokia 5310 XPRESSMUSIC without any sim card.
2 - Don't bother as to what is displayed on your Nokia 5310 XPRESSMUSIC.
3 - Compose #pw+CODE+1#.
4 - The Nokia 5310 XPRESSMUSIC would then display the message "SIM Restriction Off" and will be unlocked!
Its easier if you just save your contacts on your SIM card that way whenever you transfer your sim card to a different phone your contacts will be on the new phone.
If you have done a back up of your phone prior to update your Nokia N95 system, then simply connect your Nokia through the Connection Manager, and use the restore function. Doing this will restore all the files that were backed up before.
In regards to your contacts, your SIM card should have copies of your contacts saved on it. This can be done by going to Contacts > Options > SIM Contact > Sim Directory and just copy all the contacts to your phone.
Unfortunately there is no other methods to restore messages and contacts, if you haven't backed up prior to the system update and saved contacts to your SIM card. Just remember to do a regular backup and always copy contacts to your SIM card.
I am sorry to inform you that nokia phones are among the several brand of phones that when you forget the master code they lock permanently with no way to unlock unless either you know the actual master code... or doing a software reflash which you can do by going to the Nokia website and look for your phone's model number.
But I would rather recommend that you get in contact with your serv. provider to get a warranty replacement, it's free, they know that when this happens they have to replace it for you. And keep in mind that and im sorry to tell you this but your information will be lost, you only get to keep info saved on SIM card and Memory card. Good luck and dont spend anymore time breaking your head trying to figure it out.
