To get the wep key, you would have to go to your router setup - I would expect it to be masked/hidden on your pc.Visit the url of your router, and go to the wireless settings. You should get the key from there. The URL of your router is typically192.168.1.1 or It could be anything - but these are the ususal ones.

How do you find the wep key on nintendo ds?

The WEP key is not anywhere on the DSi. The WEP key is the password you put on your wireless connection. If your ISP set up your wireless then your WEP key might be on your router.

Cant connect my DS XL to inter net

51300-51398 is typically caused by WEP Key issues. Please read the following information:

1. Check Nintendo's router info for special notes, if available, for your router.
  • Click here to go to our Wireless Router Configuration page.
  • Use the drop-down box on the left to select, if available, your router manufacturer.
  • Click on your router's model number, if available.
  • Read any "special notes" at the top of the router's page. Many issues can be solved by changing settings described in the "special notes."

2. Are you using WEP security on your router?
  • Log into the router using the default IP (consult your router's manual for assistance)
  • If you are using 64-bit encryption, the WEP Key must be a 10-character key consisting of numbers or letters A through F.
  • If you are using 128-bit encryption, the WEP Key must be a 26-character key consisting of numbers or letters A through F.
  • The WEP Key must be a Hexadecimal (1-9, AF, no other special characters or letters).
  • Verify they are using the WEP Key in the first (# 1) slot. Even though their router may have multiple slots, the Nintendo DS is only compatible with the WEP Key in slot # 1.

3. Check to see if your router is using MAC filtering.
  • Log into the router using the default IP.
  • Find the section for MAC Filtering (typically under "Security").
  • If MAC Filtering is on ( "enabled"), enter the Nintendo DS's MAC address to the list of approved MAC address. For info on locating the DS's MAC address, click here. (For assistance with locating the MAC Filtering section of your router's setup tool, please consult the router's manual or contact the manufacturer.)

Every time i try to set up wifi, it asks for a wep key.

The WEP key is a security key used by your wireless internet device (usually a router). Do you know who set up your wireless internet? If so they should be able to provide you with the WEP key.

Cant connect ds lite to bthomehub2

Error Code: 51100
The WEP key for the Access Point you are attempting to connect to has changed since you last connected.
What to do:
Verify the Access Point's WEP Key is entered correctly into the Nintendo DS. If your router has slots for more than one WEP key, the first (#1) must be the one selected on your router. If you need assistance, click here and select your router manufacturer and model number. If available, our router pages can provide specific steps and information that may help you with your router's WEP Key.
If you have multiple connection files saved to your Nintendo DS, the error message you received can help determine which connection file may be experiencing a problem:
    • Errors ending in 0 = connection file 1
    • Errors ending in 1 = connection file 2
    • Errors ending in 2 = connection file 3
    • Errors ending in 3 = Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector

If the above information does not work, and you are connecting at home with a wireless router, there could be settings on your router that need to be adjusted. Please click here for more information.
