OMG my phone is doing that too.... i believe that you can take it to your Cell phone service provider and have them unlock it for you. to do this you must go to a technician. the problem that happened was that i knocked my phone off the network so basically its usless at this point so i will need a new phone unless they find out the code so if they cant fix it your going to have to get a new phone

I have a sch U740 samsung phone nam 1 code

The lock code should be the last 4 digits of your phone number or 0000.

If that doesn't work, perform an activation by dialing *228 send. Then select option 1. After this is complete your phone's lock code should be reset to the last 4 digits of your phone number.

youve changed the NAM setting. you have to do the following. MENU>SETTINGS & TOOLS>PHONE SETTINGS>NAM SELECT> NAM 1. (if its already on nam one, youd have to switch it two the other.) WARNING: Make sure your phone isnt set to unlock on power up. <MUST!!! you can set it back after.

Cell Phone is locked

I did the same thing last night. was playing around and switched to nam 2. it took me 3 hours to get the right code but i did get it. my code was 5188. what I did was with excel print out every number from 0000 to 9999. I started with 5550 and worked up to 6000. when that did not work I then went from 5549 backwards and got it. the reason I started with the 5000 is because two other forums I looked in to the people who unlocked them where in the 5000s it could have just been a coincidences but it worked for me.

Lock code for nam2 settings

Ok i sent an email to sumsung and i got this response

Thank you for your email. If you switched the NAM to NAM2 you will need to calculate the code. Listed below are the steps on how to do so:
1.Obtain the Hexadecimal ESN of the phone. The ESN should be printed on the sticker on the back of the phone, under the battery. The Hexadecimal ESN is the one with letters and numbers.
2.Open Windows calculator by going to Start -> Run -> type in "calc", then click OK
In the Calculator, click "View" then "Scientific".
3.Click on Hex and type in the Hex ESN
4.Click on Dec for the decimal conversion and use the last four digits for the code on the handset
5.Once the code is entered and the menu can be accessed, switch the NAM to NAM1
