Some batteries take a long time to properly charge and only last about three hours, I would try the quick charge batteries from energizer...some batteries aren't meant for high tech devices.

Tip

Keep NiMh batteries fully charged?

NiMh batteries lose charge quickly after a 15 minute charge. Keep the batteries in the charger so that trickle charge keeps the float voltage up to maintain fully charged state until you have to use the batteries.

What kind of charger does a Sony Cybershot DSCW80 7.2MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom and Super Steady Shot need

Hi,

The DSCW80 Camera is supplied with the BC-CSGB Battery Charger which can be used to charge the battery of the Camera by inserting it to the charger.
You may also use the ACLS5K AC Adapter (not supplied) for charging the battery by using the Multi-connector cable of the Camera.

Thanks for contacting FixYa.

I have a logitech MX Laser mouse that won't keep a charge very long. Can I replace the batteries and how does it open? Thanks Bill

Hi Bill,

Some mice use their power quickly. If it has a power switch, use it when not in use.

To replace the batteries in most, the back end slides off, similar to this picture:

Most with AA batteries are like this. Some smaller ones have a compartment on the bottom for AAA batteries.

Thanks for using Fixya.

Our Super Gaucho 24volts is 2-years-old and barely used. Now the battery is not lasting to long. Is this normal? I mean, with a more frequent charging/use will its performance be improved? Thx ahead &...

Unfortunately the batteries just lose their holding power after awhile, and if you don't keep them charged every few months (like during winter if your child isn't riding, you still need to charge / refresh the battery every 2 months or so, if it isn't charged for a few months, it'll lose some of it's holding power), that's a very common problem. Our 24V Perego batteries for our Gaucho only seem to last like 30 minutes of constant riding (my son rides non stop sometimes for 30+ minutes). If you check out the site modifiedpowerwheels.com , people convert them to use non Perego batteries that run for much longer!

I have had two digital cameras (the first an Ixus - the present a Powershot). After a couple of years the Ixus wore out batteries in 5 minutes - and buying new ones did not help. Now the same thing is...

Rechargeable batteries lose performance when they get older. A three year lifespan is not unusual. Note that your camera does not use "normal" AA batteries. It should be using rechargeable NiMH or disposable lithium AA's only, although alkaline (e.g. regular Duracell) can be used but will run flat very quickly. Anything else will either run flat far too quickly or will provide a false battery charge level indication.

My Kodak Easyshare Z1485IS camera has a faulty internal battery, used to retain the date and time, how can I replace this battery Please?

I have this camera, except it is Pink.

---
I looked up the internal battery but I don't think it has it. I think that if your regular batteries get exhausted, it will lose memory.

I use Li Ion Batteries, as recommended by Kodak.

If your batteries are losing charge too fast, switch to the Li Ion type, and also keep a spare so that you can keep the memory by switching batteries quickly, within a few minutes, I believe.

Good luck on this.

Dell inspiron 1525 battery not charging properly

You could try buying a new laptop battery. Typically laptop batteries lose their luster after a year.

If the laptop is booting up to a system clock for you to enter the correct date and time, then you may also need a new CMOS battery. They're a small battery on the motherboard.

Both batteries are fairly cheap but you may want to take the laptop to a certified tech to test or replace the CMOS.

OR if the laptop is still under warranty then get Dell to do it for you.

Batteries die with 5 minutes of using.

Hi
Digital camera's eat batteries mainly due to flash being used all the time.
If you don't need to use the flash don't, it will last longer.
The best batteries i found to use with my camera are Duracell Alkaline.

Thanks for choosing FixYa!!

Charging batteries

Hi Ava, thanks for coming to FixYa.

It is not good to leave your battery on the charger longer than 2 hours. Depening on your battery type, it should not take longer than 2 hours to charge up.
If you leave it on longer than that, it will get too hot, and might make a fire hazard. Also, the hotter the battery gets, it lessens the life of the battery.
Most battery chargers will not automatically turn off, so you should monitor the charging time.

Thanks for coming to FixYa. If you have any other questions, you can leave me a comment.

Namaste
