Question about Maytag Neptune MAH5500B Front Load Washer
You likely need the drain pump cleaned. Unplug and pull the washer out.
Remove cover in back. The pump is attached to the washer's floor. Pinch
off the hose from tub to pump. There's going to be some water left in
the pump and drain hose, so get a large towel ready. Remove screws
attaching black piece (motor) to white piece (housing), pull out motor
and clean the housing and motor impeller. Wear gloves, as it's always a
nasty stuff what comes out. ;) Reverse steps to assemble the pump
back together. If you don't hear pump running after completing all the
cleaning, you may need to check the wiring and/or replace main control
board located inside the console. If the pump seems to be running but no
water is being drained - replace pump. for Maytag MAH5500B the part
number is 25001052.
