Question about Lenovo 3000 N100 Notebook
How to open a text document in Visualbasic?
If MS Word is installed on the target machine, you can simply add a reference to the Microsoft Word COM object library in your project and create an instance of Word inside your app to manipulate the document. I haven't tried (or even checked) if this will work with the (free) Word Viewer, but it might. This method will work with all file formats that the installed version of MS Word supports. There are other tools available (depending on your version of VB) the may provide objects that can render and manipulate other Office documents that you could try (most are commercial). Or, if you have a copy of the document format you wish to use, you can roll your own engine for manipulating and/or rendering it.
