Question about Sony Bravia KDL-32N4000 32 in. HDTV LCD TV

Sony wall mounted 740hd pops from hd to non-hd

While watching my Sony 32" wall mounted flat panel, if the HD channel I am watching shows a non-hd commercial, there is a blanking of the screen, searches for input (sometimes saying no input found for a few seconds), then re-tunes it back in with a loud pop noise. Its like it can't smoothly transition from HD to nonHD. I have a Sony in the living room with the exact same hookup (Comcast cable via DMI cables) and it doesn't do this. Is this a flaw in the tv or is there a setting that will keep it from having such a hard tme going back and forth? I have it set to auto adjust for the screen so if I watch an HD channel it fills the screen and a non HD adds the black bars to the sides...I can't stand the stretched look.

It has to do with the brodcast testing digital frequenies. they will probably solve them selves when the change happens.

With my Sony Bravia 46" xbr the screen keeps cutting out. I'm usig hdmi cables and can't find a reason why te tv keeps cutting out. The sound still remains but picture doesn't. Not even out technician can...

Usually this happens to my set when I am in HD cable channel mode after being on a non-digital ANALOG channel.

I basically reset the TV by changing to a DIGITAL cable channel -- stay on that channel for ten-twenty seconds -- then I switch back DIRECTLY to a HD channel (key in channel number directly on remote).

TV works fine -- seems to be a glitch when the TV changes modes from Analog to HD

Pixilization on non hd channels with hdmi cable connected to HDPVR receive. HD channels come in crystal clear, non hd channels are all bitmapped and horrible

Your TV is not at fault, it is showing you the difference between HD and non HD channels. HD TV's work great with HD scorces but don't usually look that great with standard definition, Also the non-HD channels are more likely to be heavily compressed which makes them look bad too.

Your TV may not support your HD channel signal. Check with HD DVD & non-HD DVD players to confirm.
