Miele G575 Dishwasher doesn't start

I am having a problem getting our Miele G575 dishwasher to run through a wash cycle.  It definitely has power, the water is on and there is no water in the bottom of the dishwasher.  When you turn the dial to start a cycle, it hums but doesn't fill with water and doesn't progress through any cycle.  We have tried all positions of the dial and have had no luck?  Any ideas??

SOURCE: cI am having a problem

You said it does not progress...meaning the dial does not eventually move? it may be waiting on a water level sensor to be tripped. The dishwasher is just not filling. The water valve solenoid may be stuck or defective. or a wire may have come off the valve solenoid.

Water levil to high on miele g575

It is possible that there is a block in the drain hose which prevents water from previous wash to fully empty.
This means when you start dishwasher next time it overflows and causes the dishwasher flood switch to trip and shut dishwasher.

You will need to check the drain hose for any blockages and clear it.

On the display panel of the washing machine there are a few screws on the side. Remove that panel and check for power at the computer and sensor. Also make sure that when it is one and calling for water that it is getting everything everywhere

Does anyone have a service manual for the Miele G575 dishwasher?

Check the bottom floor pan, if water is there, only the drain will operate. Sometimes the float switch, which is a styrofoam block, gets warpped and activates the switch. This turns on the drain pump which overrides everything.

Dishwasher Miele G575

It could be a motor or a pump issue. The dishwasher has a motor that attached to a pump which forces the water up into the sprayer arms and during the drain cycle, it pushes the water out of the dishwasher. The motor (and pump) located beneath the dishwasher. Regarding the screwdriver adjustment- This is the rinse aid dosage adjuster. To obtain the best drying results, use the selector on setting 5. When dishes show spots, set it to a higher setting. Turn lower if dishes are cloudy. Good luck!

If the water level is not adjusted at the right level
(see Miele G 575 manual page 29),
the flap doesn't open at the right circle,or doesn't open at all.
(Cause of the low water level the machine makes more noise!)
======Now shut down the power for the machine!!!=============
To adjust the water level new,you have to open the shield(2 screws) under the
main door.(enginen compartment).(You don't have to move the machine!)
On the right ,right, right, hand side, there is a 6 cm round beige plastic box.
(the first thing you see to you right and very easy access)
Only one black water hose(about 1cm=1/4inch) and a few wires are going into this box.
This is the water level adjustment box.
In the middle of the beige plastic box is a beige plastic screw
to adjust the water level new.Turning it clock vise ,increasing
the water level.
(For the right water level, see page 29 in your G575 Miele manual)
The water level hasn't to be super price.Just in about and enough.
(It seems that the rubber membrane in the water level unit ages
and therefor it has to be readjusted after a longer time)
