Problems accessing facebook

Hi there, I am Blerina and i have problems with accessing facebook at my office. My computer is a workgroup computer and the IT blocked all social networking.I could access facebook by using but they understood this and blocked and this port(https). i tried to change the language in google but it generate the same error. "This site is blocked by the firewall....". I can not install any program because i need the administrator privileges. One day i tried to enter in Safe Mode and i thought i can create a new account as an administrator and i can change there the policy group(remember my computer is workgroup,it is not in the domain),but when i went to the control panel/adminitrative tools/ they had deleted the option to create a new user.I tried to create a new account in control panel/user account/ as an administrator but it needed the administrator password...(as i expected). i tried to use other proxies but all i found so far are blocked as proxy avoidance. So please is there any way to access facebook?I really need to access it.Please if anybody has an idea how to access facebook feel free to write me in my e-mail or in this page. Thanks a lot for taking time to read this. Best regards,Blerina

Your best bet is to access facebook somewhere other than work. I suggest an internet cafe on your lunch break...the IT guys are probably monitoring you...sorry.

Not Sharing pc for win 7

It may be because of the workgroup setting. WINXP uses a default workgroup value of MSHOME. WIN7 uses a default of WORKGROUP. What happens then is that all computers can connect to the network and access the internet, but shared files and folders will not be seen due to the two different workgroups,

To change the workgroup in WIN 7:

Click START.

Right click on COMPUTER, choose PROPERTIES.

in the SYSTEM PROPERTIES window choose the COMPUTER NAME tab.

Observe "Workgroup" name.
To change, click the CHANGE button

Put the new workgroup name in the WORKGROUP block
(WINXP default is MSHOME)

Click OK

Close all windows

You will need to restart PC to set the new workgroup

One of my pC is a part of nework and not allowing to access from anothe netwok pc , showing error message, Where as from this PC i can access another PC with network Tried no. of solution , but no one is...

First of all, you check the workgroup of your PCs. if the system is seeing other PC on the network. then you follow this steps. To know the workgroup of your systems. right click on the My Computer and point to Properties, Click on Computer Name, There you see options
1: Computer Description: You can type the name of your company like John Cybercafe
2: Full computer name: the name of the PC like System01 or Machine01 etc...
3: WorkGroup: is a collection of computers on a local area network (LAN) that share common resources and responsibilities. If you use the default setting which is "WORKGROUP" workgroup normally be on capital letter.Any name you use as your workgroup, make sure you use it on all other PCs to avoid conflict. Now click on Network ID, Next-you see two options, select the first options and click Next, you see two options again, select the second option which is "My company uses a network without a domain" click Next again, you see "WORKGROUP" leave it as it was and click Next, click Finish. A window will pop out telling you to restart your computer. Do you want to restart? Yes and Cancel, click Yes to restart the system. After restarting your system. Connect your network cable to the system or if is already connected. Go to Control Panel, click on Network Setup Wizard on Network and Internet Connections. Click Next---Next--There you see two options. select the first option and click Next, you will see another options
Computer Description:your company name would appear there like "John Cybercafe" in capital letter
Computer name: System01 or Machine01 in capital letter Next to proceed. Another option is WORKGROUP. Don't change it to anything, make sure the name you used for your workgroup is the same thing with other Next again. This is where you have problem.
1: Turn on file and printer sharing: your computer will see other computer on the network and can share file and printer to each other.
2: Turn off file and printer sharing: your computer cannot share file and printer to each other, they can see each other on the network, but they cannot access each other. select the first option and click Next--Next, wait a moment for the system to share file and printer.after that, you will see four options, select the last option which is "Just finish the wizard, I don't want to run the wizard on other computers and click next and finally Finish. Now go to view my workgroup computer and access the computer again. Thanks and Good luck......

Windows xp - workgroup is not accessible.

I am not sure of everything that has happened such as spyware or adware and virus issues however one thing that you might tryt is scanning for such. Malwarebytes antimalware is free and so is adaware personal and avg and avast antiviruses to make sure it is not a malware issue.

Also make sure that someone has not been changing the network worgroup that the computers are on. Users can do this inadvertantly and cause many issues.

Problems accessing facebook

A word of warning. Some companies have policies regarding activities such as the ones you describe. I have a friend that did some similar things and was fired because he made the corporate IT guys look bad. Keep in mind that you are using their network and probably their computers. They have the right to deny access to any site. If they are blocking through firewall/proxy servers then there is no way around it. All traffic must pass through these servers to get to the internet. My advice is to get a cellphone that can run the Facebook mobile app and access it through that. I use a Blackberry Curve 8310 since my company blocks Facebook. I hope that this helps. Good luck. PS. - Don't fight the war with IT, they might win and you could be out of a job.

I do have i mdb file on 1 pc and i need to shared wit 3 pc

First make sure all 3 PCs are on the same workgroup or domain. You can verify that in the System Properties, accessible by right-clicking the My Computer icon and selecting Properties, then selecting the Computer Name tab; below the Full Computer Name will be the domain or workgroup.

Once all 3 PCs are on the correct workgroup/domain, navigate to the folder where the file in question resides, and right-click the folder itself (not the file) and select Properties, and then the Sharing tab. From this tab you can select to share the folder, and set access restrictions if needed, and then the other 2 PCs should see the new share in their Network Places within a few minutes.
