I have a epson stylus photo rx620. Have error message"Service required. Parts inside your printer are at the end of their servive life.see your printer documentation for details. I can not find anything in...

Epson programmed their printer to monitor the waste ink counter and your printer has reached the maximum value allowed, you have to reset your printer to clear the waste ink counter.

Late response but here's something that should help for anyone else looking...

Essentially the waste pads in your printer have reached a critical point (or rather the printer programming thinks it has) and you need to either get the printer serviced at a service center

OR... fit an external waste ink kit..

The latter option is covered in detail in this guide and if you check further you'll find that there's even a vidcap tutorial on how to reset the waste ink counter.

Hope that's useful to someone even if it's months after the original query...

(I have an excuse for my tardyness, he's 5 months old and very time consuming... as babies are :))

How to reset the counter of printer epson r290

I was going to say install SSC service utilty but it hasn't yet support for the epson R290 so you may have to wait for some time to get a fix as it only goes to R270 so no solution sorry.
