Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
I am using a USB to Serial adapter to be able to print from my laptop to a Canon LBP-1000PS. When I plugged in the usb adapter, my laptop immediately recognized the printer, and installed it automatically. However, no matter what I try to print, the printer just prints pages and pages of garbage. I am at my wit's end. Please can you help?
I suppose you may have an uncleared printer memory. Right your printer icon and select Open from the shortcut menu. click on document menu and highlighting all the pending files select Cancel to get rid of them. You may have power down the printer to fasten the process. It will take a couple of minutes and sometimes the pc will have to restarted to complete the process. Make sure the all the files are deleted before sending to the printer ok. Also check your printer very well, it could be it has a reset button. if it does, power it on and depress the reset button and that will settle the matter. If it doesn't, then you will have go for confirmed USB cable and adapter. Good luck
