Question about Apple iPhone Smartphone
Im trying to link my work email(outlook) to my iphone.
Everytime I do it says problem connecting to mail.mywork.com
Connection timed out
Im not dure if it means my work email is not compatible with iphone, or that its something else.

There is a way around it. You need to set up an e-mail account that is your personal. ( example: I use att.sbcglobal.net. I set up an account that all my work e-mail get forwarded to. I called it work e-mail). Then in your True work e-mail outlook account, set up a forward list. It nice because you can be specific on what types of e-mails you want forwarded to you. It could be every e-mail that comes to your outlook work account if you want. The only down side to this is you will have to figure a way to reply to the e-mails with a different outgoing mail. But you can do it. If all fails, call apple for help.

Same problem I had.
You have to talk with your IT guy, or whoever sets up your email accounts. They need to change your mobile preferences to allow your email to be used on a mobile device.
Also, they can give you the correct settings for the incoming and outgoing server mailboxes (almost impossible to find on your own).
Outlook on the exchange server is compatible with iPhones through IMAP.
