Question about HP ScanJet 7650 Flatbed Scanner

Hp scanjet 7650 urgent issue...

Hi There, I have urgently scan a set of documents for sending to my Lawyer ASAP. The HP scanjet 7650 was working fine till this morning, now it gives me an error saying to selct the SCAN TO : option...but there is no drop dowm menu showing there now..please help. How can I bring the drop down menu options back on there ? mbkilimci, i have the same problem whereby i cant select where to save the scan as there are no options on the drop down menu... i reinstalled everything but i still have the same problem. Can you help?

Sometimes, the programmes we install or download from the Internet cause drivers' to corrupt. Your best bet now is to re-install the scanjet driver. Put the cd into the drive and remove the programme. Shut down the pc and disconnect the printer data cable(USB) from the pc. Switch it on and allow to stabilize on the desktop. Then using the driver cd re-install the software. Connect the printer to the pc when prompted and allow the process to complete. Restart your pc and then try scanning again. It will surely work. You could as well download the drivers from the Internet from www.hp.com, incase of cd loss. Good luck

I am assuming that you're using the XP operating system. If it's another operating system please do tell me.

I see that it's a problem with your software (that came with your HP scanjet). I use a Samsung at home, so I have not used it.

scan using Scanner and Camera Wizard

1.From "My Computer" right click the appropriate Brother FAX, MFC or DCP machine.
2.Select Get picture using Scanner Wizard.

3.Click "Next" at the welcome screen.

4.Select the save options that you require and click "Next".

5.The Wizard will now start to scan using the settings you specified.

6. Select the "Nothing. I'm finished working with these pictures" and click "Next".
The images will then be saved to the the location that you specified in step 4.

later you can attach the scanned file to your outlook express.

you must try and install the CD first before the system will recognise the hardware......kindly download another drive from the manufacturer site without that i won't work
