Question about Computers & Internet
The reboot sounds like a memory issue.. or a virus.. normally a failure message comes up when trying to install the wrong driver.. regardless of the OS.
It sounds to me like a H/W issue..I've never had a PC reboot because of a driver install problem.. it simply doesn't work.. but it doesn't reboot.. this PC has an on-board sound card.. If you don't want to chuck the motherboard.. disable the on-board sound card and then install a separate sound card and try that..
