Question about Intel AOpen XC Cube EZ65 P4 Media PC (BBEZ65) Barebone

Computer beeps but doesn't start.

Hello. My Aopen XC cube ez-65 collapsed yesterday. When using the computer the screen suddenly went completely matrix with a lot of coloured lines jumping over the screen. Had to switch the computer off with powerbutton. When switching it on it beeps a lot but screen is completely blank. Can't even go to bios or anything. Trying to figure out whether the beeps is a troublesignal but there's nothing to find neither in the manual that came with the cube nor on Aopen's website. What to do? Miss my cube already.

The beeps are an error code. Most times they are signifying a RAM or video card problem. With your explanation I would check the video card first. The card might have overheated or just plain crapped out on you. Try replacing and rebooting. Hopefully this will have fixed your problem. Sorry. Hope this points you in the right direction & Good luck.

Beeping with no boot up

Beep codes mean something has gone wrong with the computer. Beep codes most likely happen for: Memory, Processor, Motherboard.

Try reseating the memory in the computer.

Constant beeping while attempting to boot up

There is probably an issue with the RAM. Take the RAM out and put it back in see if that fixes it. If not then take it out and if you have 2 sticks of RAM put only one in at a time to see if the computer will boot on either stick. If that still does not work then most likely either all of your RAM is bad or there is a problem with the motherboard.

If you put the original RAM back in (both sticks) does the system boot?

Does this affect the operation of your xc Cube in any other way? If not it doesn't really matter. I had a similar issue with my pc, but it doesn't affect the operation and it doesn't really bother me
