I had the same problem, but in my case it was a factory amp.

The blue wire on the deck harness is for a power antenna, and only powers up when the tuner is in use, not in the cd or aux mode. Therefore if you are using the blue wire (on the adapter or car side) to power the remote power on your amp, you would need to connect that blue wire (on the adapter or car side) to a keyed power source. This way the keyed source supplies power when the key is on, and will not cut out when the mode is changed from "Tuner" to "CD" or "AUX".

I just connected to the keyed source on my radio harness, but then, I am not running any kind of system, just the basics.

Sony xplog xmgtr2022 1200W car ampli turning off after 5 mins

Sony is not a bad brand if you use it correctly... This is what is happening my friend. You are what is called "clipping" your amplifier. What you need to do is make sure you are running your subs at the correct impedance or also known as resistance. Then make sure you are running them at the correct frequency, there is a turn tab on the amp to match the sub to the amp. Then never never turn the gain all the way up. This over works the amp and will wear it out much faster. This also does not actually give more power to the subs it just gains the power sooner then later. Never turn the gain more then half way up.. Hope this can step you in the correct direction my friend.

By the way plaztiksr4me kenwood is junk too :O

Backfeed problems

back feed can be caused by running your rca's beside your power wire, and if you don't have your remote wire connected properly your amp might not turn on, or off depending on the amp. it could also be your power wires (acc and constant power) on your deck are mixed up, you would be able to tell if it cant remember the time

Subs, amp, wiring or cd deck problem

It sounds as though you have probably blown the output transistors in the deck. Please note that if any of the spkr wires touch each other or touch the radio or amp chassis or if they come in contact with the metal body of the car that this creates a short circuit conditon and will destroy the deck and or amp. the fact that the amp still turns on and you have little or no output is an indicator of blown output transistors. The burnt plastic smell is another indicator of the same thing.Spkr wires and terminals must always be thoroughly insulated. Good luck and please don't forget to rate.

No sound

hi there
on your CD deck or what ever unit you plugged the RCA wires to needs to be set on subs the radio needs to be set to put sound to your amp.....on your CD player if you press the F/function button a few times it will scroll to SW which is for the subs set this to the on position or if your CD player has a button with SW press it and turn on this feature......if this has been done......check the fuse or fuses on the amp.......if you have done all of the above check the back of the CD unit to make sure you are plugged into sub-woofer RCA or R (rear) RCA ..........sometimes people accidentally put the RCA wires into the aux input RCA,,,,,, double check this.........
hope this helps

Sony output problem

All i did was mess with the REM wire, and found out i had to hook the REM wire to the blue/white wire on the deck. Instead of the blue/white wire, i had it hooked up to the solid blue wire on the deck which was preventing my amp from playing on CD.

No sub when listening to a cd

you're using the wrong remote output wire. You have it hooked to the power ANTenna wire (blue) which turns off when not using the tuner. You need to use the REM OUT wire (blue w/ white stripe).

No sound to the in car speakers from my alpine cda-9827 cd player

What kind of car did you install this in? Did it have a factory radio in it? If I had to take a guess I would think that there is a factory amp that you may have hooked the blue wire from the alpine deck to. If this is the case when you switch to CD the alpine deck turns off the power to the power antenna lead(blue wire) and thus your factory amp. If this is the case hook the factory amp turn on to the blue and white wire and you should be good to go.

No Subs in CD mode??

Ah, common problem. You hooked up the remote turn on wire for the amp to the power antenna wire (solid blue). Hook up the remote turn on wire for the amp to the blue wire with white stripe. The power antenna only provides power when the deck is in tuner mode for the power antenna to be extended, intuitively, and cuts power in any other mode, because certainly it's only needed for AM/FM reception.
