Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Accidently uninstalled sound device driver - but restore was turned off

Go to Computer>Properties and go into Device Manager. Under Sound, Video and Game Controllers, you will see your device listed with a Question Mark next to it, see if you can right-click and check for Driver Software. If it is Conexant AC97 or Conexant HD, you can easily download the installer from various sites.

Then type: netsh winsock reset , and press Enter. ipconfig /release , and press Enter. ipconfig /flushdns , and press Enter. netsh int ip reset netshlog.txt , and press Enter. Then restart the computer and check. Nothing has worked. Still allows me to connect to a wireless modem or a hot spot but not to the internet. It displays "Access: Local Only". I've tried other laptops and they allow internet access using the same wireless modem or hot spot. Yet, as I stated before, When I was in the hospital, I could connect to their wi-fi and get internet access. I also can connect this laptop to an ethernet cable and connect to the internet.
