Question about Craftsman Garden
We bought a used Craftsman Weedeater at a garage sale, model 358-745460. It worked great, but we can't figure out how to advance the cutting string. Please help. Thank you.
Did you try bumping the head on the ground? Also, the head could be dirty, keeping the string from feeding. Or maybe the previous owner tried putting a larger size string in the head. Check to see what the proper size is for your trimmer.
Both of these suggestions could cause this.

Tips for a great answer:
Locate the smart/learn button on the rear of the motor unit near where all those white wires go. Press and immediately release this and then walk over to the keypad and key in any 4 digit code you like and press enter.
