Question about Samsung 26.0 Cu. Ft. Side-by-Side Refrigerator, RS265LABP
The refrigerator side is not cooling, although the freezer side is still freezing (-4F). I can hear the pump running in the back, but the back is fully enclosed (I could remove the panels) so I can't see or feel the coils. The digital thermostat display is flashing "34F", but pressing the temperature button once displays "42F", which is the actual temperature (I think). No matter what action I take on the control panel, the display always returns to a flashing "34F". Any suggestions? Thanks!!
There are holes sort of that lead from the freezer to the fridge and sometimes they get plugged up
you should check where the cool air comes into the fridge section an make sure the holes are free of ice/ debris

Hi: When you removed the back of the freezer was there any frost back there? If so you are having a problem with the defrost heater ot timer. When frost builds on the back of the freezer it will block the airways so the fresh food compartment wont get any cold air from the freezer. The heater will be at the bottom of the evaporator coils. Usually a glass tube with a metal coil inside, check the metal coil for breaks. If broken replace it. If not find the defrost timer. Sears parts will have a diagram. I'm not up on Samsung but some of their pricey models have dual evaporators. Which will mean there is a problem with the electronics. I've never seen a complaint about the later though. If there is frost, melt it with a hair dryer, avoid the plastics on the liner. That way you can limp it along until you get the replacement parts. I hope this helps, Jeff
