I just had the same problem with my TV and looking on the web I found a site that helped. The site was The entry said Raster NO GO / Pulsing sound from speakers / Poss ant relay clicks in time to the pulsing. It recommended replacing C816 and C5a28 (100uf /200v Caps) C5a03 (4.7uf / 200v cap) My set did not have the ant relay clicks and I could not fine the C816 cap on the circuit board and I didn't have the schematic. I found the C5a28 and C5a03 caps about the middle of the circuit board in the same circuit (around the metal L shaped bracket). The C5a28 cap was bad and the C5a03 cap was fine. I replaced the C5a28 cap and the set works fine now.

Picture keeps getting all scrambled

sounds like a problem with the main board and or av connector cord. contact vizio and let them know you are seeing some red pixelation. some parts on vizios carry lifetime warranties, it has been my experience that this is a covered issue. hope this helps.

Sony rear projection screen is red then tv shuts off

Can be 1 of 2 things. 1st the red tube just needs the voltage to it turned down. In the front of TV (you have to remove the lower front half of TV to access it) is a plastic square with 6 knobs. The from left to right top knobs control focus for blue, green red. The bottom knobs control voltage to each tube in same order (so lower right knob for red) turn SLOWLY to left to reduce voltage until excessive red and lines go away. If you over turn left or right set will turn off. If that does not fix it or if lines reappear then option 2 is that red picture tube is failing outright and needs replacement.

Picture Greatly distorted all of a sudden by many yellow lines

Projection TV sets are known to have two common problems. The first problem that is common to these sets is convergence failure. When this happens the TV will usually look 3D, Wavy/Distorted, etc. It may also shutdown and blink an error code.

The second common problem with Projection TV sets is dull video, halos around objects, white looking video, or red overpowers the screen. This is commonly caused by the fluid in the lens being clouded overs. To get fixed either call in a local TV repair company or goto sites such as Tv Repair Kits to get a repair kit with instructions. Here is there link.

They have put together complete kits for most models that include the parts, step by step photo instructions, repair assistance, etc.
