SOURCE: Microsoft Excel files: File size becomes very big while saving.

Whenever Excel closes unexpectedly, "ghost users" can remain in a "shared" workbook. Excel tracks changes in order to synchronize between users, resulting in huge file sizes. In order to fix the problem click Share Workbook (Review tab, Changes group in 2007 or Tools/Share Workbook in earlier). On the Editing tab see if there are any "Users" using the workbook. If so, remove them by clicking "Remove User." When you save again, the file should be back to normal. Being this is a Microsoft product, I want to re-emphasize the word "should" from my previous sentence...

SOURCE: I have a windows vista that had Microsfot office

You won't lose the data files, but you bring up a good point. I would use Word Pad and try opening a couple of the files. If they open correctly, you'll be safe to uninstall MS Office.

If it doesn't open, try to convert them to a simple text file or a .rtf file in MS Office by opening them and choosing Save As and save them that way.

My computer runs so slow and cant play my games on count of it. It needs cleaned up bad and i dont know how to do it. Please help me.

Backup all your files (E-mail, address book, music, license-keys for purchased software),
writing either to DVD-recordable disks, to an USB memory-stick, or to an external disk-drive.

Then, reinstall Windows, "wiping" everything from your disk-drive.
Run "Windows Update" (repeatedly) to get all the latest security-updates.
Reinstall anti-virus software.
Reload your files.
Reinstall the purchased software.
Reinstall the free software (Adobe Reader? WinAmp?).

I have a OLD came called Babyz (it was made in 1999) and i got it and installed it... But i cannot play it! When ever i click Babyz and try to open it a error message pops up and says "Sorry, Babyz could...

HI,
The thing is '.dll' type files are a lot of important to run any application and I think that the disk dont have it already in it so there might be a disk problem or this could be because its too old because modern versions of windows like vista, 7 or xp cannot play old games or apps. Your pc probably could play any of the modern games.

I need to reinstall the software but don't won't to lose all my pets (one just had 4 babies). Is there a way around this? IS there a file I can save somewhere else, then add it back in when I reinstall?

I can't tell you from experience because I have never played that particular game. However any other game i've ever played where you save your progress, there is always a profile or saved game file.

You will want to open My Computer-->C:/ (hard drive)-->Program files--> Ubisoft-->Petz in there you will find a file or folder with an obvious name (user name, profile name, saved game) something along those lines. Save the entire folder if there is one or just the single file to your desktop, reinstall the game....when you reinstall just make sure you put the file or folder back exactly where you found it.

Note:: You may need to start a new profile when you reinstall, afterward just put your saved file back where it belongs for it to work properly. (Sometimes the game needs to create the profile folder or saved game folder in the directory.)

***** Last thing is when you do uninstall the game it may ask you if you want to delete user settings and saved game files. If it does click no, that way you won't have to worry about loosing your stuff at all.

Hope this helps, post back if you need any further assistance. Thank you for choosing Fixya!

Can't make sim do action

If you deinstall, do you check the option to delete all the settings and saves?
If that isnt available, you should search your pc for any sim-related files after deinstalling and delete them too.
Then try installing the game again.
If that doesn't fix the problem I guess the only thing you can do is reinstall the whole PC, though I would not advise doing that for just one game.

Too many mods installed with out backups

Try uninstalling then going in and make sure the folder where the game files were installed is deleted. Sometimes I've had problems where mod files have stayed around and when I reinstalled a game the files would still be there so the mods still affected the game. Hope this helps.
