You video needs to be converted before it goes on your ipod.
download your video. if it is not the video format that will work on your ipod the you can open your
AVS converter, choose the video to convert and set the avs settings to what you need for the ipod and convert the video. Video converters are slow and take a long time.
the ipod will play .mpeg and .h264 video files.
the mpg files are the most popular and pobably can just beuploaded to the ipod and work.
the H264 is an Apple Quicktime format which takes up less space but you will almost never find a video in this format.

and oh ya, this is a free techincal support website, no one is scamming for money here so chill out

Downloaded file from Itunes i now want to convert it to play on TV using AVS Video converter and it says file is protected

Hi. It sounds like you have downloaded a movie with the digital rights still attached in the file.
AVS won't create the movie for you, it is an anti-bootleg protection.
If you really want to turn it into a regular playable dvd, then you need to download FREE DVD CREATER.

It will convert your downloaded video files to DVD, and it doesn't block out video with digital rights

I hope this helps you out.

To have your favorite clips how you want them—whether that's on your iPod, iPhone, PSP or desktop—you need the right utility to convert them into the format that works for you. Commercial video converter software's aplenty, but there are several solid free utilities that can convert your video files on every operating system, or if you've just got a web browser and a quick clip. Put DVDs on your iPod, YouTube videos on DVD, or convert any video file with today's top 10 free video rippers, encoders and converters.

Other downloaders for online video sites buy you a Flash FLV file, but VidDownloader spits back an AVI file.
5. Hey!Watch (webapp)
Web application Hey!Watch converts video located on your computer desktop as well as clips hosted on video sites. Upload your video to Hey!Watch to encode it into a wide variety of file formats, like H264, MP4, WMV, DivX, HD Video, Mobile 3GP/MP4, iPod, Archos and PSP. Hey!Watch only allows for 10MB of video uploads per month for free, and from there you pay for what you use, but it's got lots of neat features for video publishers like podcast feed generation and automatic batch processing with options you set once.
6. AVS Video Converter (Freeware/Windows only)

VLC can also play FLV files downloaded from YouTube et al, no conversion to AVI required. Since there's a portable version, VLC's a nice choice for getting your DVD rips/saved YouTube video watching on wherever you go.

I'm computer challenged. I need help downloading movie to ipod

Are you able to get the video into iTunes? You should be able to just drag the file into the library (on the left) if it's not already there. If so, when you plug the iPod in, there will be a Movies tab, just select the file from the list, or tell it to automatically sync all movies, and that should work...

Apple ipod 1gb locked and dont know the combination and cant sync

Connect it to the computer you normally sync with.

Open iTunes then disconnect the iPod.

If that doesn't work you can "hard reset" by restoring it to factory defaults. Doing this also erases everything you have on it so you will lose your movies, music, files, etc.

Connect it to the computer and open iTunes.

Click "Restore" and select "Restore" or "Restore and Update" to make sure you're on the latest firmware.

Good luck.

I can not put MP4 movie in to my iTune library - i converted it from DVD.

Try shortening the file name when importing the video. I don't know if there is a limit of characters but that has worked for me in the past. Also, try ripping the DVD into a different format. Some movies, I have had to rip to Mpeg 1 and then use Videora to convert to MP4V. Sometimes the conversion to MP4 just doesn't take from certain mpegs or avi files and you have to try another format.
